  SAYING GOODBYE TO 'DANNY MAC'

Cherokee County Citizens say Goodbye to Blacksburg Fire Chief and Blacksburg Town Administrator Danny McDaniel.  Danny observed his 51st birthday Friday,  January 12, 2007 and died early Saturday morning of  heart complications at his residence.  McDaniel, known as "Danny Mac," had been town administrator for about two years, after working for 10 years as superintendent of the water, sewer, gas and street departments.  He was also a volunteer with the Blacksburg Fire Department for three decades, serving the last 18 years as chief.  Danny will be remembered as the mark to measure by.  We will always love you "Danny Mac"!
