Cherokee County's Enhanced 9-1-1 Emergency Telephone System allows public access to obtain
Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS response. Telephone service for this system is provided by BellSouth. All
calls placed to 9-1-1 from anywhere in Cherokee County are received at the 9-1-1 Center.
This Department employees a total of 26 Full Time Employees and 2 Part-Time Employee.
The Dispatchers work 12 hour shifts. The Communications Department also handles all NCIC (National Crime Information
Center) requests for all jurisdictions within our County.
